Henderson Blackheart Rugby Scholarship Henderson RFC gives their very own a scholarship every year. A scholarship is awarded to one member of each team (boys/girls). This scholarship is open to any graduating Blackheart rugby player. Scholarship applicants for 2009 should complete the application and return it to Coach Allen by May 15, 2009. Good luck! 2009 Scholarship Application College Rugby Scholarships Your Blackheart coaches have many contacts within the collegiate rugby committee and beyond. If you are planning on attending a specific university and have questions about its rugby program - ask one of your Blackheart coaches! We can help put you in touch with the right people. In the United States at this point in time, rugby on college campuses is primarily a club sport. Players generally pay their participation fees and the university may help the teams with access to training and competition facilities and financial help to cover some expenses. Given Rugby’s status as a college club sport, there are currently no full rugby scholarships available at universities or colleges in the United States. USA Rugby keeps an active list of those colleges who offer scholarship opportunities at this time.
